Movement, Strength & Fitness Classes for Young People with SEND (11–14 yrs)
Our strength and fitness programme has been designed for children aged 11–14 with a learning disability who have low muscle tone or reduced mobility.
Our new Term will start on Wednesday 25th Feb 4:30–5:30pm then weekly, every Wednesday for five weeks, ending on Weds 25th March. The sessions will be held at Gnome House, E17 6DS.
These sessions are for children who:
Want to take part in mainstream sports or clubs but find the pace too fast or physically challenging
May struggle to keep up with peers, even in younger age groups
Are physically able and want to move, but need a slower, more supportive environment to build confidence, strength and posture
What’s included:
Strength and posture work (core, balance, upper + lower body)
Adapted dance and movement
Confidence-building games and activities
A safe, fun space to connect with peer
Block of 5 sessions: £45
Drop-in rate: £10/session

Bookings close 48 hours before each class to allow us time to plan appropriate staffing.

If your child usually requires 1:1 support at school or college please email us hello@thetogetherspace.co.uk before booking as this scheme does not offer 1:1 support as standard.
If you child requires assistance with personal hygiene (ie, they wear nappies) please email hello@thetogetherspace.co.uk before booking.
We recognise that young people with SEND develop at different rates, and whilst we've stipulated an age range, age flexibility may be considered on an individual basis, following safeguarding and risk assessment. Please contact us directly hello@thetogetherspace.co.uk to discuss.
Cancellation Policy Cancellations made 48 hours or more before the event will receive a full refund. Unfortunately, no refunds can be given for cancellations made within 48 hours of the event.
