Weekly Strength & Fitness Classes for Young People with SEND (11–14 yrs)
Our strength and fitness programme has been designed for children aged 11–14 with a learning disability who have low muscle tone or reduced mobility.
Sessions will restart on Wednesday 14th January 4:30–5:30pm then weekly, every Wednesday for five weeks, ending on Weds 11th Feb. The sessions will be held at Gnome House, E17 6DS.
These sessions are for children who:
Want to take part in mainstream sports or clubs but find the pace too fast or physically challenging
May struggle to keep up with peers, even in younger age groups
Are physically able and want to move, but need a slower, more supportive environment to build confidence, strength and posture
What’s included:
Strength and posture work (core, balance, upper + lower body)
Adapted dance and movement
Confidence-building games and activities
A safe, fun space to connect with peers
Block of 5 sessions: £40
Drop-in rate: £10/session
