The Together Space June Event

Join us on Sunday 16th June from 2pm - 5pm at Higham Hill Hub. The space comprises an indoor portacabin (also where toilets are located), large enclosed garden and within the garden is an open tent.

Excited to have the following Activity Providers at our event:

GARDEN:

Make-Do-Play

Run by experienced playworkers Dom and Kerri, Make-Do-Play are regulars at The Together Space. They create child-led, informal play spaces filled with loose parts, arts and crafts, messy play, and more.

Also in the garden will be our inflatable activity run slide

OPEN TENT:

Yoked Fitness

Nick will set up his obstacle course and various other fitness equipment.

3pm - 3:45pm: Mrs H and the Singalong Band

Soft Play

PORTACABIN (SENSORY SPACE):

Freeing Potential

Ananda & Rachel return again to inhabit the sensory den. Join them to embark on a very special sensory journey exploring nature in summer time.  This workshop has been designed specifically to be accessible for young people with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) and offers an immersive and participatory experience.

Sound and movement will be used to help embody the season and individuals will be guided and invited to take part in their own way and at their own pace while sharing in the communal journey. Due to the nature of the session and for it to be as beneficial to those participating as possible, there will be a fixed start time of 2:45pm.

STALLS:

SEND Protect:

Educating Families on how to protect their child's financial future. Cara will be back and available to answer any questions you have and to book in a free consultation.

Hues Clothing:

Hues Clothing is the only children's fashion brand that combines bold, timeless designs for the sensory needs of children, with a strong commitment to sustainability. Childhood should be a canvas of imagination, exploration, and creativity, which is why our designs focus on empowering children to play, dream, and learn freely in the most comfortable clothing. Their vibrant and reliable collection, thoughtfully created in the UK from organic and recycled cotton, brings a burst of colour and fun to little wardrobes.

As always, inclusion is at the heart of what The Together Space is about and whilst Elizabeth doesn't currently have adaptive clothing, she would love to gather feedback from parents on how she can create clothes suitable for the diverse needs of our SEND children.

BBQ

Given it's Father's Day AND the start of summer, we'll be doing a BBQ! One of my passions is good food and nutrition which will be a big part of the vision for our permanent space. So as a start, I've wanted to source free range meat for the BBQ and we have very kindly been donated sausages from Pipers Farm! Money raised from the BBQ will go towards our pot for buying the Innowalk.

We look forward to welcoming you at The Together Space soon!

Love

Alex
